Trailer of Vikrant Massey and Yami Gautam starrer Ginny Weds Sunny is hilarious

Vikrant Massey and Yami Gautam will be seen in a film titled Ginny Weds Sunny. Just like many other movies, this one too was supposed to hit the big screens, but now, because of the pandemic, it will get a direct-to-digital release on Netflix.

The makers of the film have unveiled the trailer and it is hilarious. You will laugh out loud in mostly each and every scene of the trailer.

Netflix India took to Instagram to share the trailer with everyone. They posted, “If your wedding isn’t chaotic and confusing, you’re doing it wrong. #GinnyWedsSunny @yamigautam @vikrantmassey87 @puneet_khanna @bachchan.vinod @soundrya.production @sonymusicindia @sumitaroraa @navjotgulati @ayeshiraza @suhailnayyar.”

Yami impressed us with her comic timing in last year’s release Bala, and in the trailer of GWS, the actress is quite good. For Vikrant, this is something new as we haven’t seen him in an out-and-out comedy film earlier, and well, he has been given some hilarious dialogues. There’s even Suhail Nayyar in the movie and though he has been given less screen time in the trailer, the actor successfully grabs our attention.

The makers have already released a song of the film titled LOL, and in the trailer, we get to hear another track which is once again a recreated version of Mika Singh’s Saawan Mein Lag Gayi Aag. Just a few days ago, the makers of Indoo Ki Jawani had released the track Hasina Pagal Deewani which was also a recreated version of Saawan Mein Lag Gayi Aag.

Directed by Puneet Khanna, Ginny Weds Sunny is slated to release on Netflix on 9th October 2020. Well, while the trailer of Ginny Weds Sunny is funny, we hope that the film also entertains us.

The Divine Feminine: Prashasti Singh talks power, pressure, and laughter

Highlights:

  • Prashasti’s comedy comes from real-life stories, not just punchlines.
  • The show explores modern women chasing success but still feeling unfulfilled.
  • She quit a secure corporate job and jumped into comedy.
  • Stand-up made her stop being scared of talking to people.
  • People laugh together at the same everyday problems.

Prashasti Singh started her stand-up terrified of speaking in public. “I was very conscious of my language, my pronunciation, my accent. I thought stand-up wouldn’t be my thing,” she says. But her first open mic changed that. “It felt like I was among a bunch of sisters, a bunch of friends. I just forgot all my nervousness. It came out very naturally.”
