Trailer of Sanaya Irani starrer Ghost fails to scare us

Sanaya Irani is one of the most popular faces of Indian television. She starred in a couple of films where she played small roles. Now, the actress will be seen in Vikram Bhatt’s next film as a lead which is titled as Ghost.

Vikram Bhatt took to Twitter to share the trailer with everyone. He tweeted, “Absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence! The trailer of my film Ghost is here. #ghostthefilm @shivambhaargava @poojafilms @krishnavbhatt @ZeeMusicCompany #sanayairani Watch the official trailer here.”

Well, Bhatt is known for making horror films and he has made good film horror films like Raaz, 1920, Raaz 3, Haunted, and others. But the trailer of his new directorial Ghost fails to impress. Apart from two scenes, the first one and the last one, there’s no scene in the trailer that will scare you. It just looks like an old Bollywood formula of horror films, a ghost with bad makeup, one hero and a heroine who is there to save the hero. Not to forget, a couple of romantic songs and lovemaking scenes.

Talking about Sanaya Irani, she is decent in the trailer, and as usual, she is looking pretty. However, we hope that the film gives her a good scope to perform.

Horror is a genre that is dying day-by-day. The last horror film that we watched was Anushka Sharma’s 2018 release Pari. Filmmakers are clearly not much interested in exploring the genre now. But when Vikram Bhatt comes up with a horror film, our expectations are quite high.

While the trailer of Ghost has not impressed us, let’s hope the film turns out to be good. Also starring Shivam Bhaargava, the film is slated to release on 18th October 2019.
