Sony TV to pull the plug on Haasil

Launched with much fanfare in October last year, Sony Entertainment Television's new soap Haasil failed to put up a good show on the TRP charts. Resultantly, the channel has decided to axe the finite series months before its scheduled ending.

As per reliable sources, Haasil will beam its last episode on Friday 23rd February. We have also learnt that the channel is not bringing any new show to fill the vacant slot. They have decided to extend the runtime of existing show to cover the time slot until a new show is planned.

Made under the banner of Alchemy Productions, Haasil boasted the presence of Zayed Khan, Vatsal Seth and Nikita Dutta in principal roles. Despite being headlined by these popular stars, the show could not attract the audience.

Bollywood actor Zayed Khan made his television debut with the show.

Starring Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El, Superman's cousin, the film follows a reluctant heroine drawn into a dangerous mission across the galaxy. While Alcock's portrayal has received positive attention, several critics have argued that the film falls short in its storytelling, action and emotional impact.
