Sonam commences Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga shoot

Fashionista Sonam Kapoor has started shooting for her next film titled Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. To be directed by debutante Shelly Chopra, the movie went on floors last week.

Sonam is really excited about the film as it gives her an opportunity to share the screen space with her father Anil Kapoor for the first time. Anil started shooting for the movie a couple of days back, while Sonam joined the team today.

The title of the film is taken from Anil Kapoor’s popular song from the 1994 film 1942: A Love Story which was directed by Shelly's brother Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

The actress took to Twitter to announce that she has joined the cast in Punjab. She shared a picture of the clap from its sets.

On Instagram, she wrote, "Ek Ladki Ko Dekha! My first shot with my father after 10 years in this industry! Thank you @shellychopradhar for writing something compelling enough for me to take the plunge and thank you #vidhuvinodchopra for making it happen!"

Produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga also stars Juhi Chawla and Rajkummar Rao in important roles.

The film is expected to hit screens later this year on October 12.
