Sonakshi Sinha joins Salman Khan on Dabangg 3 sets in Indore

Sonakshi Sinha, who is quite busy these days due to promotions of her upcoming film Kalank, has joined superstar Salman Khan on the cast of their much-awaited cop-drama Dabangg 3, which is currently being shot in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

As the title suggests itself, the movie is the third instalment of the immensely successful Hindi film franchise Dabangg (2010). Salman and Sonakshi have returned to reprise their respective roles of Chulbul Pandey and Rajjo in the third part of the series.


Sonakshi, who made her acting debut with the first instalment of the franchise, took to her Instagram account and shared her first look from the flick. “RAJJO is back!!! From Dabangg to Dabangg 3...It’s a homecoming. Day 1 of shoot for me today, wish me luck,” the actress captioned the picture.

Apart from Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha, Dabangg 3 also features South Indian superstar Sudeep as the lead antagonist. While Dabangg and Dabangg 2 (2012) were respectively helmed by Abhinav Kashyap and Arbaaz Khan, the directorial baton for Dabangg 3 has been passed on to Prabhudeva.

The choreographer-turned-filmmaker reunites with Salman Khan after a huge gap of a decade. He last directed the superstar in Wanted (2009), a film often remembered for reviving Khan’s sinking career after a line of duds at the box-office.

Bankrolled by Arbaaz Khan, Dabangg 3 is aiming Christmas 2019 release.

Aamir says failure hits him far beyond the box office

Aamir Khan has opened up about the emotional toll film failures take on him, revealing that disappointing audience reactions can affect him for months. The actor said he becomes deeply distressed when a project does not work and admitted that he takes such setbacks very personally.

Reflecting on how strongly he connects with his work, Aamir said he often slips into what he described as a period of “depression” for two to three months after a film underperforms. Clarifying that he was speaking emotionally rather than in a clinical sense, he explained that every film becomes deeply personal because of the time and energy invested in it.
