Smriti Irani shares the trailer of Taapsee Pannu’s Thappad, writes she will definitely watch the film

The trailer of Taapsee Pannu starrer Thappad was released a few days ago. It has received a great response and a discussion has started on social media about domestic violence.

Well recently actress-turned-politician, Smriti Irani took to Instagram to share the trailer of the film and wrote that she will definitely watch it. However, she has also written that she might not support the political ideologies of the director and may disagree with some actors on some issues.


Irani posted, “How many have heard “aurat ko hi adjust karna padta hai“ How many think “ki maar pitai sirf gareeb auraton ke hi pati karte hai” How many believe “ki educated aadmi kabhi haath nahi uthata” How many tell their girls their daughter in laws“ koi baat nahi beta aisa to humare saath bhi hua lekin dekho aaj kitne khush hai“ I might not support the political ideology of the director or may disagree with some actors on some issues but this is a story that I will definitely watch and hope people watch it with their families. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, Thappad is slated to hit the screens on 28th February 2020. The film also stars Pavail Gulati and Dia Mirza in pivotal roles.

Well, Taapsee has been sharing stills of the film on Instagram and captioning it with some prominent dialogues of the movie. She recently posted, ““Us ek thappad se mujhe woh saari unfair cheezein saaf saaf dikhne lag gayi jise main andekha karke ‘move on’ karti jaa rahi thi. “ #Thappad 28th Feb 2020.”
