Starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles, the recently released flick Shubh Mangal Saavdhan has struck the right chord with all segments of the audience.
Directed by RS Prasanna and produced by Anand L Rai, the movie dealt with the subject of erectile dysfunction and gave the audience and critics a real belly laugh.
Recently, the whole cast and crew of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan gathered together to celebrate the overwhelming success of the movie where, reportedly, director RS Prasanna discussed an idea with producer Aanand L Rai regarding a sequel to their much-loved flick.
Prasanna said, “We already had a story but we were waiting for the audiences' reaction if they wanted to listen to the next story."
He also added, “The feedback we got was positive. So a sequel will definitely happen, but we don't know when exactly it is going to happen. When I was making the Tamil version then I had thought of an idea for the sequel. I think it will be a lot of fun, but it is only an idea as of now. There is no script, so it will take time.”
Meanwhile, Ayushmann, who also attended the success bash commented, “But the problem is, what will be the 'problem' of part two since it already got solved in the first one... We are looking for a plot line. It is a quirky plot and we want to explore it more.”
Released on 1st September, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan has minted over INR 33 crores so far and is going pretty strong nationwide.
