Shraddha Kapoor wants to work with Luv Ranjan

Shraddha Kapoor, who is currently shooting for Shree Narayan Singh’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu with Shahid Kapoor and Yami Gautam, is keen to star in filmmaker Luv Ranjan’s next directorial, which features Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor as male leads.

Reportedly, the Haider (2014) actress recently went to Ajay Devgn’s office and pitched herself for one of the female leads.

As per a well-placed source, “Shraddha went to Ajay Devgn’s office and said that she should be keen to do the film. She was willing to juggle and adjust her dates to be a part of the multi-starrer. At a time when not too many multi-starrers are being made and even if they are with the big men, the bigger actresses’ dates are a problem. Now Shraddha has sorted her problem and presented her date diary to them.”

Well, it will be interesting to see if the makers of the untitled film sign the actress for the film or all her efforts go in vain.

Meanwhile, Shraddha Kapoor has an interesting line-up of films. Apart from Batti Gul Meter Chalu, the popular actress also stars in Prabhas’ Saaho, Stree and Saina.

Water demand sparks questions around shoot logistics

The upcoming pan-Indian film Varanasi, directed by S. S. Rajamouli and starring Mahesh Babu, has reportedly run into a logistical challenge ahead of a key shooting schedule. According to reports, the production team sought a substantial number of water tankers for an underwater sequence being prepared at a specially constructed set near Gaganpahad in Hyderabad.

It is claimed that around 150 tankers, each carrying 10,000 litres, were requested from the city’s water authorities. However, the request was reportedly turned down due to ongoing summer shortages and increasing demand for drinking water across Hyderabad. There has been no official confirmation from the makers, though the reports have circulated widely online.
