Well-known actor Sanjeev Bhaskar lost his father, Inderjit Bhaskar, on November 18. He was 93.

The Goodness Gracious Me and The Kumars at No. 42 star took to X to share the news with his fans and well-wishers.


Sharing his father’s great lesson for life, he wrote, “Work hard. Don’t cheat anyone. Be happy” - Dad. Inderjit Bhaskar 20/12/30 - 18/11/23 ??♥️."

As soon as Bhaskar shared the news, several well-wishers took to the comment section to express their condolences.

Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, wrote, “Very sorry to read this sad news. I am sure he was incredibly proud of his groundbreaking & inspiring son. Thoughts and prayers with you at this awful time.”

Popular British Musician Nitin Sawhney wrote, “Great lesson for life, Sanj. Huge loss. Love to you and all your family. ❤️."

Actor Adil Ray wrote, “My deepest condolences brother. The pain you feel right now is merely the price of the love you have for one another. He will remain in your heart and forever guide you.”

On the work front, Sanjeev Bhaskar will next be seen in the much-anticipated drama series Inspector Singh Investigates.

The three-part crime drama is based on the novel of the same name from author Shamini Flint, following the titular Inspector Singh as he investigates complex murders rooted in the cultural DNA of exotic Asian countries.
