Rohit Shetty ventures into digital space

One of the most successful Hindi filmmakers Rohit Shetty, who is primarily known for churning out rib-tickling comic-capers and action-packed cop dramas, is now set to venture into digital space.

Yes, Shetty is gearing up to produce his first web-series under the banner of Rohit Shetty Picturez. He last helmed the Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan starrer Simmba (2018), which emerged as one of the highest grossing films of 2018.


Confirming the same, Shetty said, “I am producing one web series. It’s on a big scale, that’s why it’s taking time. We have been writing it for nearly two years now. But by next year, January we will start shooting. It’s an action thriller.”

Talking about his other projects, the hit filmmaker is presently busy preparing for his next directorial venture titled Sooryavanshi, It features superstar Akshay Kumar in the lead role. Both are working together for the first time in their career.

Shetty has also teamed up with choreographer-turned-filmmaker Farah Khan for an untitled movie. The project, which is rumoured to be the remake of cult film Satte Pe Satta (1982), is about to start rolling in the second half of the year.

Jibaro comparisons take over social media

Nora Fatehi and Honey Singh’s latest music video Body Roll has sparked online debate after viewers pointed out similarities with Jibaro, the acclaimed episode from Netflix anthology Love, Death + Robots.

The discussion began almost immediately after the song’s release, with users sharing side-by-side clips and screenshots across social media. Many highlighted similarities in the opening sequence, including the forest setting, the lake imagery, gold-heavy costumes and tattooed male character.
