Rajkummar Rao paired opposite Amyra Dastur, not Kangana, in Mental Hai Kya?

Ekta Kapoor’s forthcoming project Mental Hai Kya? has garnered loads of eyeballs by unveiling one quirky poster of Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao after another. Since the day the makers launched the first posters of the movie, everyone is under impression that Rao is romancing Ranaut in the film. However, if sources are to be believed, the makers have a big surprise in store for the audience.

According to reports, Rajkummar Rao and Kangana Ranaut are not paired opposite each other in the movie. The makers will slowly be raising the curtain on the rest of the star cast and now it’s Amyra Dastur’s turn. Dastur will, reportedly, play Rao’s love interest in the flick.

“Amyra has been approached to play Rajkummar’s love interest in the film. It’s a very quirky film and the makers have plans to cast some unusual pairing for the film,” reveals a source.

Dastur was last seen in Indo-Chino production Kung Fu Yoga, which also featured Jackie Chan and Sonu Sood. This will be an important project for the actress who has not received many good offers from Bollywood.

To be directed by National Award-winner Prakash Kovelamudi, Mental Hai Kya? is being produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and Karma Media. The film is expected to start rolling from April.

Before Bond became a billion-pound franchise, one studio wanted no part of it

Years before Eon Productions transformed James Bond into one of cinema’s most successful franchises, a rival studio reportedly saw little value in Ian Fleming’s spy stories. Newly unearthed internal reports reveal that Elstree Studios rejected the opportunity to adapt the Bond novels after deciding they were “not movie material” and unlikely to succeed on screen.

The assessments came from the studio’s readers department in the late 1950s, where books and scripts were examined for adaptation potential. Instead of seeing a future blockbuster series, reviewers questioned whether Bond’s adventures would appeal to audiences.
