Pujya Rambapa commences his centennial year with Ram Dhoon

DEVOTEES and well-wishers flocked to Sindhi Mandir in Cricklewood on Sunday (2), to felicitate Pujya Rambapa on his 99th birthday.

The devotees took part in a nine hour non-stop ‘Ram Dhoon’ programme to mark the occasion.


Over a thousand people participated in the birthday dhoon which was organised by Shree Jignyasu Satsang Mandal.

This event is being organised in the UK for the past thirty years.

Various saintly personalities including Pujya Shri Bhupendrabhai Pandya, Himat Swami, Pujya Ramnikbhai Dave, Pujya Piyushbhai Shastri, Nityanandji, Manish Mahraj, and Dinesh Mahraj participated in the event.

Dignitaries such as Nandakumarji of Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, Lord Dollar Popat, Rajiv Sharmaji and Trustees of Jalaram Mandir (Greenford), Anoopam Mission, LCNL, Sadhu Vaswani (UK), BAPS, ISKON, Brahma Kumaris, and many other organisations took part in the event.

Earlier, Shree Santan Mandir was honoured Pujya Shri Rambapa with a lifetime achievement award on his centennial year to recognise his charitable service to the Hindu community and Sanatan Dharma.

Shree Santan Mandir described him as a ‘Revered Patron and Selfless Philanthropist’ and thanked the Santan Dharma Trust for donating over £200,000 in 1985 when the mandir was being founded.

India has swept the entire global heat map. On April 27 all 50 of the world's hottest cities were in India, according to data from AQI.in. Not one entry came from the Middle East, sub-Saharan Africa, or Australia.

The pattern continued on April 29, with the world’s top 39 hottest cities all located in Indian states. Sasaram in Bihar led at 45°C, followed by Varanasi and Balangir at the same temperature.

Mirzapur and Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh also recorded 45°C, while Buxar in Bihar matched this temperature.
