Priyanka Chopra roped in to star in Netflix’s We Can Be Heroes

Priyanka Chopra has some interesting projects lined-up. She is all set to make her Bollywood comeback after a gap of three years with the film The Sky Is Pink which also stars Zaira Wasim and Farhan Akhtar. She also has an Indo-American film based on Big Fat Indian Wedding. A few months ago, the actress had also revealed that she will be seen in Ma Sheela Anand biopic, and now, here’s one more project Priyanka has been roped in for.

The actress will be seen in Netflix’s We Can Be Heroes which is written, produced and directed by Robert Rodriguez. The description of the film states, "The film is about how a group of kids steps up to save the world when aliens abduct all of Earth’s superheroes." Well, it will be interesting to see what role PeeCee will play in the film. We wonder if the actress will portray one of the superheroes in the film. Let’s wait and watch.

We Can Be Heroes also stars Christian Slater, YaYa Gosselin, Akira Akbar, Andrew Diaz, Andy Walken, Boyd Holbrook, Hala Finley, Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Lotus Blossom, Lyon Daniels, Nathan Blair, Sung Kang, Vivien Lyra Blair, Adriana Barraza, Christopher McDonald, and Pedro Pascal.

Priyanka got married to Nick Jonas last year and have been away from India for quite some time. Currently, she is busy cheering for her hubby in the Jonas Brothers' Happiness Begins US Tour. However, we can expect PeeCee to be back in India for the promotions of The Sky Is Pink which is slated to release on 11th Oct 2019. We are sure fans of Priyanka are super excited to see the actress in a Hindi film after a long gap.

The Sky Is Pink will be premiered at the 44th Toronto International Film Festival. While talking about it, the actress, who is also the co-producer of the film, had stated, “The Sky Is Pink is a story that I connected with from the minute I heard it and in Shonali’s hands, it’s been crafted into a moving, beautiful film that will renew our faith in love and life.  It’s what led me to not only take on the challenging role of Aditi Chaudhary but also to co-produce it with Ronnie and Siddharth. I am so proud of this film and am honoured that the film’s world premiere will take place at the Gala Presentation at TIFF 2019. I’m looking forward to being back at TIFF once again to showcase our small package of love to the world."

An Indian student leader has accused the Scottish Green Party of treating candidates with visa concerns differently after she was asked to step down while another person in the same situation was allowed to contest and win.

Sai Shraddha Viswanathan, who currently serves as president of the National Union of Students Scotland, told BBC that party officials asked her to withdraw from the North East Scotland candidate list last July.

The reason given was concerns about her student visa status and whether she could serve a full term without new papers.
