Priyanka Chopra & Abhishek Bachchan to reunite after a decade

A couple of weeks ago, it was everywhere in media that actress Priyanka Chopra has been approached to headline filmmaker Shonali Bose’s next film inspired by the true-life of Aisha Chaudhary. The latest update on the untitled project is that now the makers have initiated talks with Abhishek Bachchan to play the male lead in the movie.

According to a source, “Shonali met with Abhishek recently on the sets of Manmarziyaan and shared the idea with him. He liked it and she will be giving him the final narration soon. If he comes on board, Priyanka and he will play parents to the young protagonist casting for which is currently underway. Meanwhile, Shonali is working on the script and hopes to start shooting by the year-end.”

Priyanka and Abhishek have earlier shared the screen space in three films, including Bluffmaster, Drona and Dostana. Their last film, Dostana, released in 2008. So if the duo comes together in Shonali Bose's next, their fans are really going to rejoice.

The yet-to-be-titled film will be produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur.
