Prabhas to his fans: Thank you for all your unconditional love for Saaho

Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Saaho received mixed to negative reviews, but the film took a bumper opening at the box office and went on to collect Rs 350 crore plus (including all the languages). The actor took to Instagram to thank his fans for giving the film such a great response.

Prabhas wrote on Instagram, “To my beloved fans and audience, Thank you for all your unconditional love for #Saaho. This film is what it is because of the sheer appreciation and incredible response you all have given. While it was expected that the film will do well, the response has been excellent. Hindi version of Saaho has collected Rs 116.03 crore in week one which proves that Prabhas is now just not a star down South but he is now a pan India star.After Baahubali franchise, Prabhas became a household name and there was a craze to watch him on the big screen after a gap of two years.

Well, Saaho has turned out to be the biggest hit of Shraddha Kapoor till date. While Saaho marked Prabhas’ entry in Hindi film industry, the multi-lingual film marked Shraddha’s debut in Telugu film industry.

The actress also thanked everyone for giving Saaho an overwhelming response. Shraddha starrer Chhichhore has hit the screens today and it is getting thumbs up from the critics. The movie, which is directed by Nitesh Tiwari, also stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Varun Sharma, and Tahir Raj Bhasin.

Yash, who plays the demon king Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, says his portrayal was shaped by one clear goal: making the character relatable beyond Indian audiences.
Speaking at CinemaCon in Las Vegas this week, where the film was presented alongside major Hollywood releases, the actor said he worked to strip away the purely mythological reading of the role.

"I have tried to internalise the whole essence of Ravana and tried to make him as human as possible at times," Yash told Reuters.

"It is important for people to relate to him, and since we have global ambitions, we need to make it familiar to a Western audience as well."
