Parineeti Chopra in Jacqueline Fernandez out from The Girl on the Train remake?

In 2017, reports were doing the rounds that Jacqueline Fernandez was set to star in the remake of the Hollywood thriller The Girl On The Train (2016). The actress also confirmed her association with the project when she was asked about the same in one of her interviews during the promotions of Race 3 (2018).

However, as things stand today, Jacqueline is no longer a part of the film. Reportedly, the Kick (2014) actress has been replaced by Parineeti Chopra who was most recently seen in Namastey England (2018).

According to reports, Jacqueline Fernandez herself quit the remake of The Girl On The Train because she has signed a comic-caper titled Chashme Baddoor 2, which will be directed by writer-director Farhad Samji.

“Yes, Parineeti has been confirmed as the lead in the film because Jacqueline had other assignments. Jacqueline was keen to do a comedy after Judwaa 2 (2017) and it is a film, which is more up her alley,” says a source.

Parineeti Chopra is presently busy with the promotions of her upcoming release Kesari, co-starring Akshay Kumar. She is expected to start work on the remake of The Girl On The Train soon.

An official announcement is awaited.
