Modi reacts to Mick Jagger’s social media note in Hindi

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to a ‘Thank you’ note by the legendary rockstar Mick Jagger.

After concluding his India trip, the British rock band The Rolling Stones lead vocalist shared a note written in Hindi on X. His note accompanied a video of him singing 'Dreamy Skies' from the album Hackney Diamonds.

The 80-year-old singer expressed gratitude and mentioned how the journey offered a refreshing break, giving him a temporary respite from his worries and issues.

He wrote alongside the post, “Thanks India. Got away from it all here!”

He further wrote in Hindi, roughly translating to “Thanks and Hello India. Away from daily chores; I felt very happy to come here. With much love to you all, Mick.”

Reacting to his note, Modi asked him to “keep coming”.

“You Can’t Always Get What You Want’, but India is a land brimming with seekers, offering solace and ‘Satisfaction’ to all. Delighted to know you found joy among the people and culture here. Do keep coming,” Modi wrote on X.

Jagger celebrated Diwali and Kali Puja in Kolkata.

“Happy Diwali and Kali Pujo. Happy Diwali and Jai Kali Maa,” he wrote in the caption of a set of pictures he shared on his social media account.

Jagger, a cricket fan, was also seen watching an ICC World Cup match recently.

Kajol caught in a storm of criticism for saying actors endure more stress than office workers

Highlights:

  • The actress defended her claim that acting demands more than desk jobs in a recent interview.
  • She said office workers can "chill out" during work hours, unlike film stars.
  • Fans and working professionals called her comments privileged and out of touch.
  • The backlash started after her appearance on Amazon Prime's Two Much with Kajol & Twinkle.
  • Critics pointed out the financial gap and support systems actors have compared to regular employees.

Kajol probably didn't expect this reaction when she sat down with Twinkle Khanna on Two Much. But her comments about actors working harder than people with 9-to-5 jobs have blown up, and not in a good way.
