Milan Luthria signed on to helm Ahan Shetty’s debut film

Filmmaker Milan Luthria, whose directorial credits include Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai (2010), The Dirty Picture (2011) and Baadshaho (2017), has been signed on to helm the forthcoming remake of Telugu film RX100 (2018). The untitled project will mark the silver screen debut of popular actor Suniel Shetty’s son Ahan Shetty.

“Remaking a cult film like RX100 is thrilling for me for more than one reason. It marks the debut of the very charismatic Ahan Shetty, it’s a riveting and haunting story ripe for a remake and, of course, it has Sajid (Nadiadwala) as the producer – the perfect support a director can ask for. It goes without saying that I can’t wait to embark upon this journey that promises to be challenging and exciting at the same time,” said Luthria.

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who has launched many newcomers in the past, including Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon, is psyched up about the collaboration with Milan Luthria.

“We strongly believe in empowering the upcoming talent. I have seen Ahan grow and I feel he is ready now, whenever I have launched a new talent I take up the responsibility completely like I am launching my own kid. I am very happy that Milan will be directing him. Action and drama are Milan’s forte and I am assured that he is in safe hands,” said the producer.

The film is expected to roll soon.
