Makers considering Ileana for Batti Gul Meter Chalu

Ileana D'Cruz is very steadily climbing the ladder of success in Bollywood. She was seen in two films this year - Baadshaho and Mubarkan - and both turned out to be decent performers at the box office.

The gorgeous actress has already bagged Raid opposite Ajay Devgn after working with the superstar in Baadshaho. The latest we hear that she is being considered as the female lead in the upcoming film Batti Gul Meter Chahu.

“We have only spoken to Ileana so far. It is a strong role of a lawyer with intense scenes and we are casting now," producer Prernaa Arora reveals to an Indian daily.

The social drama film, which is being helmed by Toilet: Ek Prem Katha helmer, Shree Narayan Singh, stars Shahid Kapoor as the leading man and plays the role of a lawyer. If Ileana gives her nod to be a part of the project, it will be her second association with the actor. They have worked together in Rajkumar Santoshi's 2013 film Phata Poster Nikhla Hero.

Batti Gul Meter Chalu is going to sets on 19th January next year and will hit screens on 31 August 2018.
