Lord Swraj Paul receives ‘Mahatma Gandhi Honour’

Industrialist Lord Swraj Paul has been honoured by a non-profit NGO for his outstanding efforts to highlight the profile of Non-Resident Indians and their contributions to India. A spokesman of the NRI Institute said that it honoured Paul, chairman of the Caparo group of industries, on Monday in London at an event held to celebrate its 30 years. Receiving the plaque, Paul, 87, said “Mahatma Gandhi Honour – to be associated with Mahatma Gandhi’s name makes me very proud being Indian and British.
