Kareena to commence Angrezi Medium shoot from May 15

Kareena Kapoor Khan, who was last seen in blockbuster hit Veere Di Wedding (2018), will start shooting for producer Dinesh Vijan’s much-talked-about film Angrezi Medium from 15th May. The actress will join the cast during its one-week long Mumbai schedule.

Angrezi Medium, which is a sequel to the 2017 film Hindi Medium, mounted the shooting floor on April 6. Irrfan Khan and Radhika Madan kick-started the first schedule of the film in Udaipur. Kareena, who will be seen in the role of a cop in the satirical comedy, will start filming her part now.

“Kareena has started prep for Angrezi Medium. Since she is playing a cop for the first time, she has been discussing her character with director Homi Adajania. She will shoot in Mumbai for around a week before the team flies to London in June where a big chunk will be shot. She is not romantically paired with Irrfan, but has an important role in the narrative,” a well-placed source reveals.

Aside from Angrezi Medium, Kareena Kapoor Khan will also be seen in Dharma Productions’ Good News and Takht. While Good News is a rom-com co-starring Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh, Takht is a period drama.

To be directed by Karan Johar, Takht will also feature Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Anil Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles. The film is expected to roll towards the end of the year.
