Janhvi Kapoor in talks with Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari for a slice-of-life film

Filmmaker Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari has directed only two films so far, but the list of actors who want to work with her is just incredible. Tiwari is presently shooting for her third directorial venture titled Panga. The sports drama stars Kangana Ranaut, Richa Chadha, and Pankaj Tripathi in principal roles.

But if fresh reports are to be believed, Tiwari has also started working on her future project which might feature newcomer Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead. The two reportedly met at a Mumbai restaurant recently to discuss the project.

“Though Ashwiny has just started the second schedule of Panga in Bhopal on February 21, she is already in talks with actors for her next. True to her signature style, it will be a slice-of-life film set in the heartland of India. Nitesh (Tiwari) and she have already finalised the concept; the scripting is underway. Janhvi is amongst the first actors she has considered for the lead. It was an elaborate meeting,” a source divulges.

The source goes on to add, “Since both Ashwiny and Janhvi are busy with Panga and the Gunjan Saxena biopic respectively, they will resume talks once the final draft of the script is ready by June.”

Janhvi Kapoor, who made her acting debut with Dharma Productions’ Dhadak (2018), also has Karan Johar’s period drama Takht in her pocket.
