Ishaan Khatter signed on for a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film

After the smashing success of Ishaan Khatter’s second film Dhadak (2018), which also marked the acting debut of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor, people thought the newcomer would sign new projects right, left and centre.

However, it has been more than half a year since Dhadak hit screens and emerged as a clean hit at the box-office, but there is no update on what Ishaan has signed next. In the past few months, his name has been associated with many films, but there has never been any official confirmation.

Ishaan’s name is being linked to yet another big-ticket project and this time around for a Sanjay Leela Bhansali venture. Rumours are rife that the young actor has been signed on to play the male lead in Bhansali’s next which will be a light-hearted movie, a departure from the filmmaker’s larger-than-life cinema.

Reportedly, Bhansali was very impressed with Ishaan Khatter after watching his performance in Karan Johar’s Dhadak and hence he roped him in for his next directorial venture.

An official announcement is awaited.
