Isha Anand Sharma quits Colors’ Choti Sarrdaarni

Television actress Isha Anand Sharma, who is best known for her roles in shows like Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki and Kundali Bhagya, is currently seen on Colors’ popular show Choti Sarrdaarni. Produced by Cockrow and Shaika Entertainment, the series premiered on 1st July 2019, while Isha joined the cast only recently.

Her character was introduced as Pam, the ex of Sarabjit who is in Serbia enjoying his honeymoon with wife Meher. In upcoming episodes, her character will be seen making Meher's life hell. Isha has impressed the audience with her performance in no time. But the bad news is that she has decided to put her papers down and walk out of Choti Sarrdaarni.

In her interaction with an entertainment portal, Isha Anand Sharma said that initially she was promised a different character, but when she reached Serbia and started the shoot, she found out that the storyline and her character had been changed. "They had promised me a different character in the briefing, and once I reached Serbia for the shoot, they changed the storyline and my character. My character of Pam was supposed to be totally negative. However, the script changes brought in an element in the character wherein she was to go all out to woo Sarabjit,” complains the actress.

Choti Sarrdaarni has struck the right chord with the audience in no time. The show is one of the most popular shows on Colors and its performance on TRP charts is a proof of the same. It has been either in the top 5 or top 10 on the TRP chart of late. The exit of an important and popular character like Pam will certainly impact the show. It will be interesting to see who gets cast as the new Pam on Choti Sarrdaarni.

A script that stood out

Ainy Jaffri steps onto the stage with Rukhsati, drawn in by what she describes as a layered and emotionally rich script. The project, written and directed by Saqib Deshmukh, has already seen earlier runs before moving to Tara Theatre.

Jaffri said the opportunity came through her co-actor Hassan Khan, and the strength of the writing made it an immediate draw, particularly as a two-hander that places sustained focus on performance.
