Is India’s Most Wanted based on Yasin Bhatkal’s capture? Here’s what director Raj Kumar Gupta has to say

Arjun Kapoor starrer India’s Most Wanted is inspired by a real-life event. The makers are calling the antagonist of the film India’s Osama and from the day trailer has been released; everyone is thinking who this India’s Osama is. There were reports that the movie is based on the capture of Yasin Bhatkal, the man behind numerous bomb blasts in India including the German Bakery blast in Pune.

Recently, in a media interaction, the director of the film Raj Kumar Gupta was asked if his movie is based on Yasin Bhatkal’s capture, to which he said, “Everybody is asking me this question. But I would like to just say that it is inspired by a real-life event. What the film is about and what journey it is, I won’t tell you that, you will have to come and watch the film. But it is a very emotional and thrilling journey from the day I decided to make it.”

Well, Gupta clearly didn’t give out any detail about the film. But let’s hope that our question is answered once we watch the movie. India’s Most Wanted is slated to release on 24th May 2019. It will be clashing with Vivek Oberoi starrer PM Narendra Modi.
