Irrfan Khan starts shooting for Hindi Medium sequel titled Angrezi Medium

After months of wait and a medley of speculations, the National Film Award-winning actor Irrfan Khan has finally started shooting for the sequel to his blockbuster Bollywood film Hindi Medium (2017). The sequel, which was earlier rumoured to be titled Hindi Medium 2, has been christened Angrezi Medium.

This will be Irrfan Khan’s first movie after he took a break from films to undergo treatment for neuroendocrine tumour in London last year. The makers started the first schedule of the film in Udaipur with Khan and Radhika Madan. Kareena Kapoor Khan is expected to join the cast in the next schedule.

While Hindi Medium was helmed by Saket Chaudhary, Angrezi Medium is being directed by Homi Adajania. Homi has previously directed such popular films as Being Cyrus (2006), Cocktail (2012) and Finding Fanny (2014). Producer Dinesh Vijan is bankrolling the project under his banner Maddock Films.

After completing the first schedule in Udaipur, the team will head off to London to film the second schedule of the movie.

The film is expected to hit screens in the first half of 2020.
