Hrithik & Deepika to start shooting for Satte Pe Satta remake in Jan 2020?

A lot has been said and written about the next directorial venture of choreographer-turned-filmmaker Farah Khan. Speculation is rampant that she is gearing up to remake the Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini starrer cult film Satte Pe Satta (1982).

Talking about the star cast, several names have been associated with the project in the past few months. From Hrithik Roshan to Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif to Anushka Sharma, almost every leading actor has been linked to Farah Khan’s film. However, the makers are still tight-lipped about the actors they have roped in to headline the remake.

A couple of days ago, some industry insiders confirmed that Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone have been locked to play the lead couple in the film. Now, the team is busy casting for the other six pairs.

If reports are to be believed, the team is looking at beginning the first schedule of the shoot in January 2020. Since Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone have never worked together before, it will be fun to see them sizzle the silver screen for the first time.

The upcoming venture reunites Deepika with Farah after a huge gap of 12 years. The actress made her acting debut with Khan’s reincarnation drama Om Shanti Om (2007), alongside superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Farah is directing her next for Rohit Shetty’s production house Rohit Shetty Picturez.

Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan is awaiting the release of his next film War. Also starring Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor in lead roles, Yash Raj Films’ action entertainer is directed by Siddharth Anand. War releases on 2nd October. Deepika Padukone, on the other hand, will next be seen in Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak. The film, co-produced by Deepika, enters theatres on 10th January, 2020.
