THE release dates of Dev Patel starrer The Green Knight has been announced, both for the UK and US audiences.

The film was originally scheduled for release in May 2020 but was delayed due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Green Knight, directed by David Lowery, will hit the theatres in the UK on August 6 and for the US audiences on July 30.

The movie is an adaptation of late 14th-century poem Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. This medieval fantasy script stars Dev Patel as Sir Gawain, the nephew of King Arthur who accepts a potentially deadly challenge from a mysterious Green Knight.

Bollywood remains the biggest force in India’s film industry when it comes to scale and commercial reach, but Telugu cinema has been expanding its influence, particularly through the rise of pan-India films.

That growing presence is also reflected in a recently reported list of India’s richest actors in 2026. According to a report by Deccan Chronicle, four Telugu superstars have made the top 10, based on estimated net-worth figures.
