Deepika Padukone to replace Jacqueline Fernandez in Kick 2?

Salman Khan starrer Kick 2 has been in the news from quite some time. It was last year when the makers had officially announced the sequel of 2014 release Kick, but the movie is yet to go to on floors. The first installment starred Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles but looks like Jacqueline won’t be a part of the sequel. According to a report in a daily, the makers are planning to rope in Deepika Padukone for Kick 2.

A source said, "If you remember, Deepika was the first choice for Kick. But somehow it didn’t work out. Jacqueline was brought in and Kick changed the course of her career. Deepika can’t play just a typical Salman heroine. Her role has to be as powerful as Salman’s. Sajid is working on it, injecting heft into the female lead."

Directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, Kick was one of the biggest hits of 2014. Fans of Salman Khan have been waiting to see him on the big screen as Devil again. Salman and Deepika have not starred in a film together yet, we are sure it will be interesting to see them romance on the big screen.
