Confirmed: Riteish Deshmukh to star in Total Dhamaal

After the earth-shattering success of Rohit Shetty's comic-caper Golmaal Again, if there is any other comedy film the audience is waiting for with bated breath, it has to be filmmaker Indra Kumar's Total Dhamaal.

There has been a very positive buzz around the film ever since its announcement. Having said that, the film did face some casting hiccups in the beginning, but now everything seems under control.

The star cast of the movie is getting bigger and bigger with each passing day. Many popular stars from Bollywood are coming together to star in the third installment of the superhit film franchise, Dhamaal.

After replacing Sanjay Dutt with Ajay Devgn and signing Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit, filmmaker Indra Kumar has now roped in Riteish Deshmukh for an important role.

Talking to an Indian daily, the actor confirmed, “Yes, I am doing the film.”

Riteish has also been part of Dhamaal and Double Dhamaal, so his entry in Total Dhamaal does not come as a big surprise. But his fans will really be very happy to know that the actor is indeed doing the next installment of Dhamaal.

The film is expected to mount floors by the end of this year.

You arrive in Kochi, and it feels like the sea air makes everything slightly sharper; faces in the city look purposeful, a film poster peels at the corner of a wall. In a city that has cradled a thriving film industry for decades, a single crime on the night of 17 February 2017 ruptured the ordinary: an abduction, a recorded sexual assault and a survivor who reported it the next day. What happened next is every woman’s unspoken nightmare, weaponised into brutal reality. It was a public unpeeling of an industry’s power structures, a slow-motion fight over evidence and testimony, and a national debate about how institutions protect (or fail) women.

For over eight years, her fight for justice became a mirror held up to an entire industry and a society. It was a journey from the dark confines of that car to the glaring lights of a courtroom, from being a silenced victim to becoming a defiant survivor whose voice sparked a revolution. This is not just the story of a crime. It is the story of what happens when one woman says, "Enough," and the tremors that follow.
