Chetan Hansraj: I always feel my work should talk for me

Actor Chetan Hansraj, who was last seen in Ekta Kapoor's Chandra Nandini, is back to action in Siddharth Kumar Tewary's popular show Mahakaali Anth Hi Arambah Hai. Chetan will be playing a negative character of Tantrik Malla. Speaking about the look and role Chetan says,"The character has a unique look. For other roles, I take 10 minutes to get ready but this look is taking approximately one and a half hours. And once you get into the look, you know why it takes so much time. You are completely in that zone. I would say its crazy. The role is very strong."

Speaking on his preparation for the role, he says, "I would say my look is actually helping me a lot. I also read about my role. The look is inspired by John Sparrow."

Chetan who used to be part of many big daily soaps does miss them in his career now. So what is the biggest change the actor has noticed over the years? "Honestly, nothing much. Yes, earlier I used to shoot in the suburbs of Mumbai but now we are shooting for Mahakali in Umargaun which is quite far. The distance has increased."

Chetan is also someone who is working for so many years and mostly has played negative characters. Speaking on that he says,"I have always played the negative parts as I believe that is my niche as an actor. As an actor, I am very focused and patient because in our industry sometimes there is less work and no work phase, so one should not lose the focus. I keep pushing myself and also keep believing in myself. I always feel my work should talk for me."
