Charli XCX turns Lake Como into her own summer playground as bikini snaps have fans gushing

Charli XCX has swapped packed festival stages for sunshine, lake views and a playful Italian getaway, sharing a glimpse of her holiday with husband George Daniel, and friends and fans are clearly loving her carefree mood.

Highlights:
  • Charli XCX shared playful holiday snaps from Lake Como.
  • The singer posed in a colourful bikini and pink heels.
  • Husband George Daniel joined her for the Italian escape.
  • The group enjoyed boat trips, food, drinks and mountain views.
  • Fans flooded the post with compliments about her holiday look.

Charli XCX appears to have found the perfect antidote to a busy summer: a boat, a bikini, Lake Como and absolutely no reason to take herself too seriously.

The British pop star has given fans a peek at her luxury Italian escape, sharing a carousel of photos and videos from a trip with her husband, The 1975 drummer George Daniel, and their friends.

And, naturally, Charli being Charli, it was not exactly a low-key holiday photo dump.

One snap showed the singer posing in a colourful bikini with pink heels, while another cheeky picture caught her turning around for the camera. Other images captured the group enjoying the spectacular lake and mountain scenery, dining together and relaxing on the water.

Charli captioned the collection: a girl on a lake with her friends and her husbands!”

The reaction was exactly the sort of response you might expect from Charli's devoted fanbase.

Fans love Charli’s carefree holiday mood

Rather than focusing solely on the glamorous setting, fans appeared delighted to see the singer simply enjoying herself.

One commenter wrote: “girl who’s going to be okay.”

And that may be the mood Charli is serving perfectly.

After a whirlwind period that included the huge cultural moment of her Brat era, major performances and a high-profile wedding, the Lake Como pictures feel like a glimpse of the star having fun away from the stage.

The photos show Charli embracing a playful, confident holiday style, while the wider trip appears to have been all about friends, food and enjoying the Italian scenery.

From ‘Brat’ summer to Lake Como glamour

Charli's holiday look also marks another chapter in the star's ever-changing fashion story.

Her Brat era became synonymous with a deliberately messy, pared-back aesthetic, helping turn the album into one of the defining pop culture moments of 2024. Now, her latest holiday pictures offer something altogether more glamorous.

The singer has continued experimenting with her image since then, including a striking black look when she and Daniel attended Matty Healy and Gabbriette Bechtel's wedding in Los Angeles last month.

But the Lake Como snaps feel much less polished — and arguably more fun.

There's Charli in swimwear, Charli on a boat, Charli enjoying dinner and Charli simply soaking up the sunshine with people close to her.

A very Charli love story

The getaway also offers another glimpse into Charli's life with Daniel.

The couple married at London's Hackney Town Hall in July 2025 in an intimate ceremony. Charli wore a Vivienne Westwood mini dress and her signature dark sunglasses, while Daniel wore a dark suit.

They later celebrated with a second wedding in Sicily, giving their relationship an appropriately Italian sequel.

Daniel has also been closely connected to Charli's music career. The 1975 drummer and producer worked with her on Brat, making them something of a pop power couple as well as husband and wife.

Now, though, there appears to be no studio pressure, stage deadline or red carpet in sight.

Just Charli, George, their friends and one of Italy's most beautiful lakes.

And judging by the reaction, fans are perfectly happy to see her enjoying every second of it.

A-level results 2026: Why getting the grades won’t guarantee a place at medical school

Highlights

  • A-level results day 2026 is Thursday 13 August. Results are released from 8am, with the UCAS Hub updating at the same time and Clearing choices opening from 1pm.
  • Medicine applications hit 25,770 this cycle, up 10.4% on last year, for roughly 8,000-9,000 places — meaning most applicants, regardless of grades, won't get in.
  • Dentistry has drawn a disproportionately high share of Asian applicants for over a decade, at roughly double the rate of Medicine and four times the rate of higher education generally.

Thursday 13 August is A-level results day across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Results are released from 8am, the UCAS Hub updates at the same time so you can check your application status, and Clearing choices open from 1pm for anyone who needs them.

For most students, the day is about logistics: checking a portal, calling a university, deciding on Clearing. But for a specific slice of this year's cohort, there's a harder truth sitting underneath the numbers — get the grades, and you can still miss out, because the courses many students are chasing were never going to have room for everyone who wanted in.
