Bobby Deol locked to topline SRK’s Class of 83 for Netflix

Last seen in Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se (2018), Bollywood star Bobby Deol has been finalized to headline Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming digital project, titled Class of 83. Red Chillies Entertainment is producing the series for Netflix India.

“Shah Rukh Khan and Bobby Deol have shared a great friendship since quite some time now. Bobby is keen on trying out something new and Shah Rukh Khan has always been interested in exploring the web platform further. Having them collaborate for Class of 83 is definitely something to look out for,” a well-placed source reveals.

The source goes on to add, “The Netflix film is currently under the initial stages. The casting is just being finalized. The process has just kick-started. So it is too soon to comment on the same.”

Bobby Deol, who began the second inning of his career with films like Poster Boys (2017) and Race 3 (2018), has not been quite successful in regaining his last stardom which he achieved in the 90s. We hope his upcoming projects help him gaining a foothold in showbiz once again.

Class of 83, which marks Deol’s debut in the digital world, will take some time in mounting the floor. Before that, the actor will be seen in Sajid Nadiadwala’s multi-starrer comic-caper, Housefull 4, which is set to release on 26th October, 2019.

In our minds they are already there, waiting to judge, to condemn. As a fully grown woman, sitting in my home in south London in 2026, it’s still my first thought when I think about this disturbing case.
