Alia Bhatt reacts to reports of having a small role in RRR

Film enthusiasts were overjoyed when they heard about the collaboration between Alia Bhatt and maverick filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli. Bhatt plays an important part in Rajamouli’s next directorial offering, tentatively titled RRR.

While the high-profile film is still being shot, some reports recently emerged stating that Alia Bhatt has only a few scenes in the movie. The actress has now reacted to reports doing the rounds. “After I was launched by Karan Johar I had two dream directors on my wish list: Sanjay Leela Bhansali and SS Rajamouli. I don’t care about the length of my role in RRR. Just working with him is enough. I have taken lessons in Telugu to do this film. (I) can’t say I speak the beautiful language like a native. But I am trying,” Alia said.

According to reports, NTR Jr will be seen opposite a foreign actress in the much-awaited film. Director S.S. Rajamouli is currently busy looking for the actress who could fit the bill perfectly. “He is looking at talented actresses in Britain. They have so far not been able to zero in on the correct actress. Or rather, no known British actress is willing to fly down to Hyderabad to work with NTR Jr. They might have heard of Rajamouli after Baahubali but they certainly don’t know who the others in RRR are,” a source close to the development revealed.

RRR stars Ram Charan and NTR Jr in lead roles, while Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt will be seen essaying important roles too. The film tells a fictional story revolving around India's freedom fighters, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem who fought against the British Raj and the Nizam of Hyderabad, respectively. RRR is set to roll into theatres in 2020.
