Akshay, Twinkle, and Preity celebrate Diwali with Sunak

Bollywood couple Akshay Kumar, his wife Twinkle Khanna, and actress Preity Zinta celebrated Diwali this year with the British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at his official residence in London.

Zinta took to social media to share a set of pictures from the celebration.

In the pictures, the trio is seen interacting with Sunak. For the occasion, Zinta wore a blue and golden velvet outfit. While Khanna rocked cream and golden ethnic wear, Kumar was seen in a white kurta and pyjama.

In one of the photos, PM Sunak and his wife Akshata Murty were seen lighting a lamp.

However, Zinta later deleted all the pictures from her profile for reasons best known to her.

The Kal Ho Na Ho actress had originally written in the caption, “What an incredible Diwali this has been. A heartfelt thank you to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his gracious wife Akshata Murty for inviting me to be part of this year’s Diwali celebration at Downing Street.”

Preity further wrote, “It was an honour to celebrate Diwali with him and the people from the Hindu community in the UK.”

Earlier, Sunak had shared photos of his family lighting diyas outside 10 Downing Street.

“A special moment for me to be celebrating Diwali with my family on the steps of No.10. Happy Diwali to everyone celebrating here in the UK and around the world!” he wrote in the caption.

Kalki 2 continues to hold attention despite the long wait

Sequels often struggle to maintain momentum when production stretches over several years, but Kalki 2 continues to generate strong interest even without regular updates from the team.

Much of that anticipation comes from the world created by Nag Ashwin in Kalki 2898 AD, which ended with several unresolved story threads and set the stage for a larger cinematic universe. The scale of the film, combined with its mythology-inspired storytelling and ensemble cast, has kept conversations around the sequel alive.
