After Race 3, Salman Khan might topline Ready sequel

Though Race 3 (2018) failed to live up to the expectations of the audience, Salman Khan is not going to stop starring in sequels. After wrapping up his next Bharat with Priyanka Chopra, Khan will begin work on Dabangg 3, which is a sequel to his 2010 film Dabangg. After Dabangg 3, he will move on to do Kick 2, again a sequel. As if these sequels were not enough, the superstar is in talks to star in a sequel to his 2011 comic-caper Ready.

Yes, a sequel to the Anees Bazmee directed blockbuster movie is in the works. And the news has been confirmed by none other than T-Series head Bhushan Kumar, who co-produced the original.

Talking about the sequel, Kumar told an Indian daily, “Bharat, my production with Atul Agnihotri, has just started and now we are in talks with Salman bhai and Anees bhai for Ready 2. We are just waiting for the script to get ready so that we can take it forward”.

Director Anees also confirmed the development, “Bhushanji and I have been in talks for a few months now. He had also been interested in making Ready 2 for quite some time. Things are looking positive after our most recent meeting. I haven’t met Salman bhai to discuss dates and other details yet. Taking the film on the floors will depend on his availability,” he said.

A song shaped by reflection rather than intention

For Dhee, Vari Vari was not born out of a deliberate attempt to move in a new direction. Instead, it arrived during a period of reflection that naturally began influencing the music she was making. Speaking exclusively, the singer described how many of her recent songs have mirrored experiences unfolding in her own life, making them feel more personal than planned.

That emotional undercurrent eventually found its way into Vari Vari. Conversations with lyricist Vivek (Vivek Anna) slowly shaped the track, which grew from discussions around love and human connection. Rather than following a formula, the song evolved organically and became a reflection of thoughts she had already been carrying.
