Actors who couldn’t make a mark in Bollywood, but are big names on the small screen

We have seen many TV actors making it big in Bollywood. But do you guys know that there are many actors who started their career with the big screen but couldn’t make a mark in Bollywood? However, they are now big names on the small screen. So, let’s look at the actors who were a flop in Bollywood but hit on TV.

Apurva Agnihotri


Apurva Agnihotri made his Bollywood debut with Subhash Ghai’s Pardes. The movie also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Mahima Chaudhary, but Apurva made a mark with his performance. However, unfortunately, after a few more Bollywood films, he vanished from the big screen. In 2003, he entered television with Jassi Jaise Koi Nahin and then there was no looking back for him.

Nakuul Mehta

It was in 2008 when Nakuul Mehta made his Bollywood debut with the film Haal-e-Dil. The movie didn’t do well at the box office and Nakuul went unnoticed. In 2012, he made his television debut with Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara and became the heartthrob of small. Well, he is called the Hrithik Roshan of the television industry.

Iqbal Khan

After doing some couple of films like Kuch Dil Ne Kaha, Fun2shh, Iqbal Khan turned his way towards television and started his career on the small screen with the show Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai. He has been a part of many hit serials like Kahiin To Hoga, Kavyanjali, and others.

Raqesh Vashisth

Raqesh Vashisth had a very successful start in Bollywood with the film Tum Bin which also helped him to get a few more projects. However, it was the television show Saat Phere: Saloni Ka Safar, that gave him much more recognition than his movies. Raqesh is now a regular face on the small screen.

Ronit Roy

Before becoming one of the highest paid actors of the television industry, Ronit Roy starred in many films like Jaan Tere Naam, Sainik, Army, etc. But he became a household name after he played iconic characters of Mihir Virani and Mr. Bajaj on the small screen. Well, but right now, Roy is very well balancing his work on the small screen as well as on the big screen.

Ashish Chowdhary

Apart Dhamaal franchise, we are sure no one remembers any other film of Ashish Chowdhary. But well, on the small screen he has made a mark with his performances in TV shows like Ek Mutthi Aasmaan and Dev.

Leona Lewis’s One More Sleep has officially been named the most streamed British Christmas song of the 21st century. The 2013 festive hit, which reached number three on the UK singles chart, has now surpassed 190 million streams in the UK, according to the Official Charts Company.
