Murtuza Iqbal

Many actors from the 90s and early 2000 have been away from Bollywood films for quite some time. While some decided to make a mark down South, some took a break and concentrated on their family life.

So, today, let’s look at the list of actors who are all set to make a comeback in Bollywood after a long gap…

Divya Khosla Kumar

Divya Khosla Kumar starred in 2004 release Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo, and then she decided to take a break from acting. She became a director and helmed films like Yaariyan and Sanam Re. While Divya is nowadays in the limelight because of her music videos, the actress will be seen on the big screen after 17 years in Satyameva Jayate 2.

Bhagyashree

Bhagyashree stole our hearts with her performance in Maine Pyar Kiya. She later starred in many films but failed to make a mark and then started doing supporting roles in movies. Now, after more than a decade we will get to see her in not one but two films, Thalaivi and Radhe Shyam. Both the movies are multi-linguals and are being made in various languages including Hindi.

Shilpa Shetty

Shilpa Shetty’s last film as a lead was 2007 release Apne. After that she judged many dance reality shows. However, now, the actress is all set for her big screen comeback with two films Nikamma and Hungama 2. Both the films were slated to release this year, but have been postponed to 2021.

Arvind Swami

Arvind Swami became a household name because of his movies Roja and Bombay. Both the films were Tamil movies but the Hindi dubbed versions had also done very well. His last Bollywood film was the 2016 release Dear Dad which was an offbeat movie. Now, after five years, we will get to see him in Thalaivi in which he plays the role of M. G. Ramachandran.

Madhoo

Arvind Swami’s Roja co-star Madhoo has also been away from Bollywood. She was starring in many films down South, but her last Hindi film was 2011 release Tell Me O Kkhuda. She is all set to make her comeback with Thalaivi in which she portrays the character of Janaki Ramachandran, wife of M. G. Ramachandran.
