2.0 makers deny reports stating a delay in the release!

Starring legendary actor Rajinikanth and action star Akshay Kumar in principal roles, 2.0 is perhaps the most awaited film of Indian cinema at the moment. Fans, who were waiting for the release of the sci-fi movie with bated breath, were in for a shock when they recently heard reports about a possible delay in its release date.

While rumours are rife that the movie might be pushed to a later date, the makers have denied all such reports saying that the movie, which is the sequel to the immensely successful film Robot, is on track and will hit screens on its scheduled release date of 25, 2018.


Raju Mahalingam of Lyca Productions took to his Twitter handle and confirmed that the film is releasing on 25th, 2018 only.

2.0 was originally scheduled to release during Diwali festivities this year, but it was moved to 25th January 2018 to achieve world class standards in VFX. The VFX is being undertaken by a leading studio in the US.

According to sources, filmmaker Shankar is shooting the sci-fi film will in  2D, 3D, Imax 3D and IMAX Real 3D format in a bid to expand its reach. The movie, which also features Amy Jackson, will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

A long-awaited comeback

Euphoria is set to return this spring, ending a gap of more than four years since season two. HBO released the first detailed trailer for season three on January 14, offering a glimpse of where the characters are now.

The new season premieres on April 12. In the opening of the trailer, Rue reflects on life after school: “A few years after high school, I don’t know if life was exactly what I wished. But somehow, for the first time, I was beginning to have faith.”
