Yami cast to play second lead in Batti Gul Meter Chalu

After roping in Shraddha Kapoor as the leading lady of the forthcoming flick Batti Gul Meter Chalu, the makers have now signed Kaabil star Yami Gautam to play the second female lead in the social-drama film.

Also starring Shahid Kapoor, the movie is being helmed by Toilet: Ek Prem Katha fame Shree Narayan Singh. Yami Gautam, who was last seen in Ram Gopal Verma's Sarkar 3, is extremely excited to be a part of the film.


The actress took to Twitter to express her happiness. She wrote, "Super happy to commence this special journey with @kriarj on ' Batti Gul Meter Chalu ' :) Really excited for this one #Prerna #Shree @shahidkapoor @ShraddhaKapoor"

Scheduled to release on August 31, 2018, Batti Gul Meter Chalu is expected to mount floors in February. It is a KriArj Entertainment production.
