Veteran actor Vinod Khanna passes away

Veteran Bollywood actor Vinod Khanna passed away at a hospital in Mumbai this morning. He was 70.

Khanna was admitted to the Sir HN Reliance Foundation hospital on March 31 with severe dehydration.


The hospital authorities refused to share the reasons for his demise.

The actor made his acting debut in 1968 with Man Ka Meet and is best remembered for his performance in films like Mere Apne, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Amar Akbar Anthony, Qurbani, Dayavaan and Jurm.

He was last seen in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dilwale in 2015.

Nervous about a father’s role

At the trailer launch of De De Pyaar De 2, R Madhavan admitted he was initially nervous about playing Ajay Devgn’s on-screen father-in-law.

“I have never done a father’s role before, and competing with Ajay, I was very nervous,” Madhavan said. “I have seen other actors who are so busy when they come to the set, but Ajay sir is always present and dedicated. We have always felt connected.”
