Actress Vaani Kapoor, who was last seen in the Aditya Chopra directorial Befikre opposite Ranbir Kapoor, has been signed to romance superstar Hrithik Roshan in Yash Raj Films' forthcoming venture. To be directed by Siddharth Anand, the action entertainer also features Tiger Shroff as the male lead.
"While the film is primarily Hrithik vs Tiger, there is only one girl in the movie who is opposite Hrithik. I was looking for young and fresh energy in the casting and I have found that in Vaani Kapoor. I have loved Vaani as an actor in both her films and after meeting her I was fully convinced that she is the best girl for my film," director Siddharth said in a statement.
Vaani started her Bollywood career with Maneesh Sharma's 2013 film Shuddh Desi Romance. Also starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra in lead roles, the film was made under the banner of Yash Raj Films. Her second film Befikre was also with YRF. And now, the actress is all set for a hat-trick with the production house by starring in its new film.
The yet-to-be-titled project will release on January 25, 2019.
