&TV is all set to axe its popular show, Waaris!

The story of a Punjabi mother, Amba Charan Pawaniya, who raises her girl child, Manpreet Pawania, as a boy found many takers when the show Waaris was launched in mid-2016. The show did not only tug the emotional chord of the audience, but it also garnered huge TRPs for the newly launched &TV.

Once Waaris was one of the top-rated shows on the channel, but numbers started falling down soon and now we hear that the makers have decided to pull the plug on the much-loved show once and for all.

Farnaz Shetty, who plays the female lead Manpreet Rajveer Bajawa on the show, confirms the news "Yes, the show is going off air," she says.

According to sources, Waaris will air its final episode on 1st December. The team will shoot for the last episode on 22nd November.
