Taapsee Pannu on being offered Mithali Raj’s biopic: Please recommend my name to them

Taapsee Pannu is undoubtedly one of the most talented actresses of Bollywood. She has some interesting films in her kitty right now, and a few days ago, there were reports that the actress has been approached for the biopic on the captain of Indian women's cricket team, Mithali Raj. It was said that she has given her nod for the film

However, recently during an event when Taapsee was asked about being offered the biopic, she said, "If I get it then it will be amazing to play cricket. You all (media) please recommend my name to them (the makers). I wish I get to play this role. I really wanted to get signed for that film.”

Well, Taapsee would clearly be the perfect choice to play Mithali Raj on the big screen.

The actress is gearing up for the release of Mission Mangal which is slated to release on 15th August 2019. The movie also stars Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari, Sharman Joshi and Nithya Menen.

Apart from Mission Mangal, Taapsee will also be seen this year in Saand Ki Aankh. The teaser of the film was released a couple of days ago and it has impressed one and all. While talking about the film, Taapsee said, "It is one of the challenging roles of my career. I feel making a decision of taking up acting wasn't as challenging than taking up this role but I have no regrets about it. I am very excited and anxious about the film, especially after getting a good response to the teaser. The level of excitement has gone up in me and Bhumi. I am waiting for Diwali as it's the time when our film will be released.”

Saand Ki Aankh is a biopic on shooter dadis, Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar. We are surely quite excited to see their story on the big screen.
