Sushmita Sen set to marry rumoured boyfriend Rohman Shwal next year?

B-town is buzzing with the news that actress and former beauty queen Sushmita Sen is set to tie the nuptial knot with her rumoured boyfriend Rohman Shawl in 2019. The two have been spotted on several occasions lately, including Shilpa Shetty’s star-studded Diwali bash a couple of days ago.

"Sushmita and Rohman were dating for two months after they met at a fashion gala and enjoy a good equation. The duo has even discussed the idea of marriage and if things go as planned, they will take their marital vows next year," a well-placed source reveals to a popular daily.

Reportedly, Rohman has already proposed to Sushmita and the actress has given her consent. "Rohman has already proposed to Sushmita and she has agreed, which is why she decided to go public with the relationship. They are currently figuring out when would be a good time to tie the knot, but as of now, the couple is looking at a date around winter 2019," the source adds.

Well, it looks like the wedding season is not going to end so soon in Bollywood. After Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas and Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh, the next couple to exchange nuptial vows could be of Sushmita Sen and Rohman Shawl.

TroyBoi returns to his Indian roots with Rootz EP using Lata Mangeshkar’s voice to redefine British diaspora music

Highlights:

  • TroyBoi’s five-track EP Rootz is a personal return to the sounds of his childhood, released via Ultra Records in September 2025.
  • The single Kabhi uses an officially cleared sample of Lata Mangeshkar’s vocal from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
  • Collaborations with Amrit Maan, Jazzy B and BombayMami plug Punjabi, Bhangra and south-Asian textures directly into modern trap and bass production.
  • This EP is part of a wider wave: British artists born into diasporas are using heritage not as garnish but as foundation.

Some albums hit you in ways you don’t see coming. Rootz is one of them. Not just another trap EP. TroyBoi, the London-born producer known for global bass and trap, has made something that’s also deeply personal. He didn’t just want to make music that bangs in clubs; instead, he wanted to reach back to the India of his childhood. And he did it with Rootz.

The track everyone’s talking about is Kabhi. Because it’s not just sampling Bollywood. Lata Mangeshkar’s voice was officially cleared for use on a non-Bollywood release, a milestone reported by multiple outlets. It’s history. It’s memory. And it’s a bridge.
