Sushant Singh returns to host Savdhaan India

Actor Sushant Singh has been a part of several films and television shows over the years. However, it was crime-based show Savdhaan India which made him a household name across India. After hosting the show for several years, the actor took a break from it. He has now confirmed his return to Savdhaan India after a gap of nine months.

Confirming the development, Sushant Singh told a publication, “When I was replaced, I felt that my journey on the show was over. It was a bit difficult for me to accept it and move on. However, now that I have resumed shooting for it again, I feel that I am back home.”

When asked if he thinks that he was indispensable for the show, Singh added, “I don’t know if we can use the word ‘indispensable’, but yes, over seven years, I guess I have become the face of the show. There was a huge connect with the audience across the country. Now that I am back, I hope to put my best foot forward.”

After Sushant Singh was replaced as the host of Savdhaan India nine months ago, Ashutosh Rana and Tisca Chopra came onboard to fill in his shoes. However, the audience just could not connect with new faces and the show’s TRPs plummeted drastically.

Tisca Chopra has confirmed that she had finished shooting for the show. “My shoot is over and I don’t want to get into any controversies. It was anyway a short-term stint that I agreed to do.”

When seasoned actor Ashutosh Rana was contacted for a comment, he said, “My contract with the show is over and I am not aware of any other development.”
