Simmba to be Sara Ali Khan's debut film instead of Kedarnath?

Buzz has it that Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar's joint venture Simmba might hit the silver screen before Abhishek Kapoor's romantic-drama Kedarnath. If that happens, Simmba will mark debutante Sara Ali Khan's debut in Bollywood, despite the fact that the newcomer started shooting for Kedarnath first.

Kedarnath was announced with much fanfare as it was going to be the debut vehicle for popular actors Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter Sara Ali Khan. However, the latest we hear that the movie, which also stars Sushant Singh Rajput, has been pushed back until next year. This will now see Simmba releasing first in December. Reportedly, a fallout between the producers and director of Kedarnath has resulted in the decision.

According to some sources, producers of Kedarnath, Prernaa Arora and Arjun N Kapoor, have released Sara from her contractual obligations, which had stipulated Kedarnath would be her debut film. The makers will announce a new release date for the film soon.

Simmba, which is yet to mount the shooting floor, is scheduled to release on 28th December 2018. The film features Ranveer Singh in the role of a quirky cop.
