Sidharth Malhotra and Imtiaz Ali to team up for the first time

After the debacle of his last release Jab Harry Met Sejal (2017), starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in lead roles, celebrated filmmaker Imtiaz Ali is planning his next movie.

From what we hear, the helmer of such mega-hits as Jab We Met (2007), Love Aaj Kal (2008) and Rockstar (2011) is planning to rope in Sidharth Malhotra to topline his next.

A leading entertainment magazine reports that Imtiaz Ali met Sidharth Malhotra a couple of days ago. The meeting was for script narration. The actor is yet to take the final call, though.

“Soon after Imtiaz wrote the script, he knew he wanted Sidharth to play the character in his film. He then met and narrated the story to Sid. If things work out, they will start the project soon,” a source reveals.

Meanwhile, Sidharth Malhotra is filming for Ekta Kapoor’s Jabariya Jodi, co-starring Parineeti Chopra. He will next move on to headline Shershah, a biopic on Kargil martyr Vikram Batra. The project is being bankrolled by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
