Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan trailer: Time to fight homophobia in a light-hearted manner

Homosexuality is a subject that not many filmmakers like to explore, especially in Bollywood. Last year, Shelly Chopra Dhar’s Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga spoke about homosexuality and acceptance. But, unfortunately, the film didn’t do well at the box office.

Now, this year, we will get to see one more film which will speak up about homosexuality and homophobia but in a light-hearted manner. We are talking about the movie Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan which stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Jitu K, Gajraj Rao, and Neena Gupta.

Ayushmann took to Twitter to share the trailer of the film. He tweeted, "Jeetega pyaar, maanega pura parivaar! #ShubhMangalZyadaSaavdhan ? ♥ trailer out now! https://bit.ly/ShubhMangalZyadaSaavdhanTrailer @smzsofficial @raogajraj @Neenagupta001 @Farjigulzar @iammanurishi @SunitaRajwar @maanvigagroo @Panawasthy_31 #NeerajSingh Written and directed by @HiteshKewalya.”

Well, the movie is about a gay couple and how they try to convince the family about their relationship. Of course, the family is shown homophobic and for them, homosexuality is an illness. The trailer is interesting and has some funny moments as well.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitu K are good in the trailer, but it is Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta who steal the show. The two were earlier seen together in Badhaai Ho and here also their nok-jhok is a highlight.

Well, the movie will have the recreated version of the song Yaar Bina Chain Kaha Re and we get to hear a couple of lines of the song in the trailer.

Directed by Hitesh Kewalya, and produced by Aanand L Rai and Bhushan Kumar, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is slated to release on 21st February 2020. Let’s hope that this one gets accepted by the audience and does well at the box office.

Asda has reported a sharp sales decline while criticising the government for "killing confidence" among consumers, though its chair admitted "self-inflicted" technology problems had set back turnaround plans by six months.

Total sales at Britain's third-largest supermarket fell 3.8 per cent to £5.1 bn in the three months ending September compared with the same period last year, reversing 0.2 per cent growth from the previous quarter. Comparable store sales dropped 2.8 per cent.

Chair Allan Leighton, who returned last year to revive the business for a second time, told the guardian that the fall in sales and market share was "totally self-inflicted." The supermarket struggled with technology issues during a lengthy effort to separate IT systems from former owner Walmart.
