Shruti Haasan makes a foray into film production

After starring in a series of Tamil, Telugu and Tamil films and trying her hands at singing, popular Indian actress Shruti Haasan is now taking a dive into film production. The actress is making her foray into production with a forthcoming Tamil film called The Mosquito Philosophy.

The Mosquito Philosophy will be directed by Tamil filmmaker Jayaprakash Radhakrishnan for Haasan’s Isidro Media production house. It was Radhakrishnan’s 2017 movie Lense and some of his previous works that impressed the actress so much that she decided to team up with him.

Sharing the same, the actress-turned-producer says, “After seeing JP’s last works, including his acclaimed film Lens, I knew I’d found the right person to associate with. He has an edgy vision and creatively showcases even the simplest stories. It’s fantastic to work with someone who has the courage to offer new content that challenges conventional thinking.”

Talking about Shruti’s Hindi projects, she is currently shooting for an untitled Bollywood film with Vidyut Jammwal. The film marks the directorial comeback of actor-director Mahesh Manjrekar in Hindi cinema.
